Employ various skills while reading, such as: reading for gist; reading for main ideas; reading for detail; skimming; understanding logical argument, and recognising writers' opinions, attitudes and purpose. You will read a variety of texts to prepare for your Reading exam. This will include: magazine and newspaper articles, book and journal excerpts, advertisements, notices, company handbooks, and guidelines.
